  WOULD YOU ENTRUST YOUR CAR TO THESE PEOPLE??

  Everything was fine until I picked up my car on 20 September 2017 after 5 months storage. The exterior had been washed and cleaned. However, as soon as I arrived home I noticed a small dent on the left mudguard which I reported to Bob deVos immediately. He promised to investigate and advise a course of action.
  
  12 October 2017
  After several weeks of follow up Bob confirmed over the phone that he was not disputing the claim and would therefore have the mudguard fixed by David their panel beater at his cost.
  
  17 October 2017
  David dropped by to examine the damage and confirmed that he would advise a repair date as soon as he had the quote authorised by Airport Storage.
  
  23 October 2017
  David subsequently phoned on Monday 23 October after receiving the required authorisation from Tom Desi the Office Assistant, to fix the date of repair for Wednesday 25 October, and booked a time of 8am.
  
  25 October 2017
  At 7 am on Wednesday 25 October, I sent an SMS to Tom/Bob to confirm that I would be dropping the car at their garage at 8am.
  
  A few minutes later Bob de Vos phoned to cancel the repair work after having explicitly agreed to get it done a just a few days earlier. This was on the basis that two of his staff had stated that there was no damage to the car when it was left at the garage on 1 May 2017 nor was there any damage on the day it was picked up on 20 September 2017 as scheduled. Moreover, that the panel beater David had no authority to book the job.
  
  After the call with Bob I phoned David the panel beater just to do the courtesy of letting him know directly that I would not be taking my car in to Airport Storage and explained why. David was quite amazed, confirming that it was only after receiving the required authorisation from Tom Desi at Airport Storage that he had phoned me and booked the repair work. Also, that no one had called him from Airport Storage to cancel the job.
  
  I leave it to the reader to assess the quality of business that Bob de Vos is operating and the standard of business ethics or lack thereof that is evidenced by the facts stated above.
  
  At a personal level, I must say that during my 42 years in Australia I have not encountered such shoddy, unethical behaviour in any situation.
  
  At the very least, untrustworthy.
